Now then...  How do I start...

There!

[The recording is filled with the sounds of various mechanical and electronic systems starting up]

Ugh... I certainly hope this wasn't modeled too heavily on the original "Kyrios".  It probably couldn't last 10 seconds in a dogfight with a Messiah.

[A loud crash signals the machine is on the move]

Allelujah~  Time to open up your little tin can~
shooting_blanc: (Hey baby)
[The recording clicks on to soft laughter.  Michel seems to be in a far more upbeat mood than he was before.]

Man did that ever feel good...  Although I might have gone a bit overboard on the sorry beast~

I still feel like I could use a little... workout though.

[A hand slides across the microphone, muffling things as he whispers to himself.]

Quit screaming about "culture" -Try to loosen up a bit more, like your friend in there.

I think a night on the town is in order, for starters.  Who wants to be the lucky lady on my arm tonight~?

[Recording ended//Postscript//Filtered from Allelujah//Unhackable]

And if anyone needs out of our house, I might be convinced to help get around Alle... if you ask nicely~

[//Postscript]

[The recording begins to a loud slam, followed by the sound of a boot-heel being dragged off the keyboard.  When the microphone picks up a voice, it sounds distant- as if the speaker isn't focused on the terminal, but rather some distance away, moving around erratically.]

Fuck.  Isn't this forest supposed to be crawling with hungry freaks of nature?  What's a man got to do to find something to kill?

[His question is punctuated by the loud report of a rifle, and the subsequent loud crack of the shot striking a tree in the distance]

Shut it.  There's got to be something kicking around out here, and you bothering me is just going to make it harder to track whatever I do find.

[A long pause, filled with little more than the shuffling of feet, and an occasional kick to the terminal's support post.]

I said shut up!  You were the one who suggested I'd just need to blow off some steam if I wanted to stop having to listen to you all the damn time.  I had other ideas, but you freaked out at the mention of em.

[Another, shorter pause, the speaker can be heard humming thoughtfully, then breaking into laughter.]

HA.  Maybe that's just how shit like this works.  That panty-waist trying to keep us all in line right now has that stupid, violent narcissist screaming at him in his head.  It'd make sense for the voice in my head to be gun-shy in the sack.  ...You're not allowed to take control on my nights off.

Wait a sec... is that thing-  Fuck.

[The recording ends to the sound of a short burst of automatic weapons fire and a moment of static.]

I think I'm going to go out for a bit... I need to clear my head.

((OOC: Short blackout on Michel's part... A lot of banging around in his room... and he kinda punched a hole in the wall))

Holy hell... Did I get hit by a Protoculture super weapon, because my head sure feels like it.

...and where the hell am I?  Judging by the dirt floor, I can guess this is a basement... but it's way too big to be attached to any of the houses.

Bah, I can't believe I found NOTHING of where Lockon went to look for Neena yesterday...  Did notice an interesting flier though...

NEENA.  If you can access the network, let me know.

[Michael pauses for a moment, then growls out "Deculture" with enough venom that nobody unfamiliar with the term could doubt it was anything less than a particularly long four-letter-word.]

Lockon, Alle, someone in the new house be ready to brief me on what in the bloody hell happened when I get up there.

...Now where the hell did I put Vera.

[The recording ends, punctuated by the sound of a fist hitting the console.]

It may not be as fun as day-long monster hunts, but re-furnishing this old house is rewarding in it's own way.  I feel like I've been a bit too idle though- I'm going to head out today and try to catch us dinner.  Any preliminary ideas to what we should make of the catch?  Had a bit of a chili craving myself lately...

((OOC- bacon.  eggs.  hashbrowns.  pancakes.  He went all out this morning.))

Wow... it's almost disconcerting how quiet it's been this morning.  One thing's for certain- we might not have everything I'd like to have in the kitchen right now- but it's a lot easier to get one big breakfast made for 4 than for a dozen-plus.  Hope you three enjoyed it.

I figure we can take a couple days to relax and let our two new arrivals settle in before getting down to business.  The better part of a month should still be more than enough time to get this place converted and in working order.

Ahh, moving day. I'm going to go ahead and get the bulk of my things packed- then I'll be free to help anyone who wants an extra hand too, since I'll be living down here for a while yet. Most of what I own won't be going anywhere until Tieria's ready to move topside, and the rest I can get up there at my leisure in the meantime.

Speaking of our old building... what exactly is the plan for it anyway? Just another office building/place for any new arrivals we recruit to crash, or something else?

Mmm, looks like I've got a busy day ahead of me.

Mileina, we'll go up whenever you're ready, find your present, and maybe have lunch.

Halle- my offer still stands if you like- I figure we'll start our way around town about the time bars start serving the good stuff.  I'll wait for ya at the southern fountain.  right where I've got my stockpile hidden~

((ooc- yeah, strikes very, very deleted.))

Lockon, soon as the downstairs is presentable again, you, me, and Ozma are heading out to plan where we'll be going for out little "outing".  Consider it a standard scouting mission, and bring plenty to write on.  We don't have much time, so I want to take as many notes as possible on how our quarry will be moving out there.

Well, looks like I've got a new friend.  Seems that blue frog thing picked up some virus from the stagnant water, but he's conscious now, and seems adamant on sticking around.  I think I'll call him Ozma, has the same yellow-eyed condescending stare that my old squad leader had, heh.

Otherwise, if anyone needs me, I'll be heading to the temple for a while and then... out... for a day or three.

...Anyone know if there's a vet in Purg?  I found this blue... frog... thing drifting past the house this morning.  It's unconscious, but breathing.  I've been keeping it warm, and not letting it's skin dry out or anything, but it's barely stirred all day.

I'm... actually pleasantly suprised, looks like we won't be stuck in Venice with half our living space submerged for months on end.  Soon as the water gets low enough that shops start opening back up, I'll head out to get us some cleaning supplies and have a round for those who have earned their ticket home.

One less pretty face around the house, eh?  I hope everything goes smoothly back there, so he can have some time to learn to relax.

In other news, I have a suggestion- boats.  This flooding might just be from the thaw... but then we all know how things like this tend to stick around in Purgatorium.  If we want to go much of anywhere right now, that'll be a much better method than just swimming everywhere.

...Not that I mind sitting on our roof and enjoying the early advent of swimsuit season~

Well... now that the kitchen is in some semblance of working condition again- I think it's high time we dealt with a matter of exceptional importance.

Dylandy brothers- I challenge you both to a test of skill.  It's time to find out which one of us really is the best sniper in Purgatorium.

((ooc- possible log?  ...after I get over this... whatever I'm infected with.  But we can at least get the progression and outcome planned out mebby.))

Hmm... Now that those... Gnosis are gone, I think it's time we got down to an important matter.  Less than a week until good ol' St. Valentine's day.  I think a party is in order.

Sweet fucking deculture what is going on this time?  I thought I had a new breed of Vajra looming over me this morning... until it walked through the wall and left.  And what the deculture is that giant monolith?
shooting_blanc: (Downcast)
[A moment of tense silence, the kind of dead quiet surrounding someone who needs to say something, anything- but can't.]

...I guess I shouldn't be suprised.  About anything, really... just business as usual for me.

[Another stretch of silence- finally interrupted by the sound of a glass being filled, emptied, slammed down, and refilled again in quick succession.]
