[A moment of tense silence, the kind of dead quiet surrounding someone who needs to say something, anything- but can't.]

...I guess I shouldn't be suprised.  About anything, really... just business as usual for me.  

[Another stretch of silence- finally interrupted by the sound of a glass being filled, emptied, slammed down, and refilled again in quick succession.]
